How to remove AVG Secure Search gaining control from your firefox browser and positively stop the avg secure search page or other leeche search engines from gaining control over the search address bar in firefox browser.
1. first you need to remove the avg toolbar from the computer, you can use any freewere software of revo (recommended) uninstaller.
2. Then open the browser, next to the address bar there is a search engine manager icon, Click the small arrow next to the search provider icon and select Manage Search Engine, Select the AVG Secure Search then select Remove
3. Open the Firefox menu and select Tools -> Options, Select the General tab and reset your home page, or write the home page you want to use.
4. Close the option manager.
5. Type this "about:config" in the address bar and press Enter.
6. A warning window will open, Press the I’ll be careful, I promise! Button.
7. Type AVG in the Search text box.
8. Right-click the "avg.userPreferences.newtabDisabledByUser", then select change, enter "False" click on approve and Reset from the context menu.
8. Right-click the"browser.search.defaultenginename", select change, enter (search engine name you want to use) i write Google, click on approve and Reset from the context menu.
9. Right-click the keyword.URL item and select change, enter the url address of the default search engine you want to use, i wrote "http://google/com" then click approve and Reset from the context menu.
10. Restart Mozilla Firefox.
11. That is all... you don't need to reset anything else.
AVG or all other uncontrol Search engine will not bother you again, you can enjoy safe browsing on the internet.
